Jemima Yong

Jemima is one of the 8 Citizen Reviewers selected from the 2015 Open Call application.

Jemima is a performance maker and photographer. She is a Malaysian brought up in Singapore and has recently relocated from London. Sometimes she is onstage, sometimes off. She is interested in making work as a catalyst of conversation and social development. Currently, she is directing and performing in ROOM, a piece of theatre that facilitates collective daydreaming with one audience member at a time. She always collaborates; time and experimentation are important to her practice. She is interested in criticism that balances being inward looking (for the artists) and outward looking (for the audience).
