EAT MY SHORTS by Dark Matter Theatrics is a series of nine short plays, each ten minutes long, written by local playwrights and performed by Danielle Cutiongco, Salif Hardie and Jasmine Xie. Enjoy bite-sized theatre where the only rule is “minimal fuss, maximum fun”! The nine plays will be performed in three sets. MDA Rating: Advisory 16 (Some Mature Content and Coarse Language) VENUE: BLACK BOX SHORTS I | 8.00PM – 8.30PM . // FAKE IT, IT’S REAL // Claire Lim wants larger breasts, but her most trusted plastic surgeon Dr. Malcolm Ang wants to close his clinic and move to Tibet. Will Claire convince Dr. Ang to perform the operation?– // ASSASSINS // Mr. Ross wants to hire an assassin to kill his son, for the good of his son’s future. He mulls over the idea with his bodyguard.– // THE KNOT // The Knot is a surrealistic play exploring the breakdown of marriage.. SHORTS II | 9.00PM – 9.30PM . // MY LAST BLIND DATE Boy and Girl are on their second date. But what they say to each other isn’t always what they say in their heads.– // PERIOD ROOM // As Grandmother’s body lies waiting for an autopsy, Granddaughter and Father have a heated conversation about sending Grandmother to the hospital.– // BADANG: THE INTERVIEW // Badang is the descendant of a legendary strongman. He attends an interview to become the spokesperson of an upmarket condominium.SHORTS III | 10.00PM – 10.30PM . // WHY I DON’T TAKE MA ON HOLIDAY // Wei and Ma are waiting to board their flight to Australia. In SEEDY STORIES by Saga Seed Theatre, stories of crime, conspiracies, and superstitions play out before you in the nooks and crannies of Centre 42. Six plays will be performed in various locations throughout the night by a dynamic ensemble of actors comprising Deonn Yang, Ric Liu, Tim Nga, and Zelda Tatiana Ng, and directed by Thong Pei Qin.
